"im trying to reduce tv and games....in general terms tv has been terminated.... but games im working on" Thass what a friend of mine said when i asked him how much of a workout his TV was getting.... how can people even say stuff like that??? NO games??? i dont care about the TV you can throw it out the window... umm actually scrap that statement, there's always Top Gear to watch... and ummm.. there's always a chance i mite turn on the tv and bugs bunny might be on... :-) Hey!! its good stuff u know!! Anyways, when i'm tryin to find excuses to not study, i'm usually playing Grand Theft Auto 3 or Need For speed 6 on ma PC... god i love the guy (in a purely plutonic sense) who invented video games!!!
Oh, to those who live in London or round abouts, keep ur cell phones outta sight... a friend juss got his cell phone snatched (not highly uncommon in South London) but still, be careful people.. wherever u are... *twilight zone tune plays in the background* (i've blogged too much today... )
Incidentally, i'm tired of my nick 'the usual suspect'... anyone got any good ideas for nicks, please lemme know
Sorry to those who didnt understand the last blog, that was me venting out in Turkish... (heheheh, so on one knows all the crap i juss said) Anyways, for anyone considering higher education.... STOP, LET YOUR THOUGHTS GO, PUT DOWN THE BOOKS AND KICK THEM AWAY... SAVE YOURSELF!! Especially if u've done ur BSc, BA or watever... no need to go on to masters, unless ur Einstein. I mean a masters is like a little child, u have to take care of it, always pay attention to it and make sure it's always in tip top (i never knew i'd use that word) condition... cuz if u dont, unlike a little child, when ur masters kicks u up the backside, it leaves a HUGE IMPRINT! (now if i can only sand paper these size 13 prints away!)
Kibrisa gitmek isterim!!! Size soyleyim, okumaktan usandim artik, bitsin artik bu bela, baslayim dogru duzgun bir is!
Al-Bukhari reported from ‘Amrah bint ‘Abdur-Rahman, who used to stay in the apartment of ‘A’ishah, the wife of the Prophet (SAW), that ‘A’ishah said, “The Prophet (SAW) sent a man as the commander of a war expedition and he used to lead this companions in prayer with recitation (of the Qur’an), And he would complete his recitation with the recitation of ‘Say: He is Allah, One.’ So when they returned they mentioned that to the Prophet (SAW) and he said, “Ask him why does he do that” So they asked him and he said, ‘Because it is the description of Ar-Rahman and I love to recite it. So the Prophet (SAW) said, “Inform him that Allah the Most High loves him” This is how Al-Bukhari recorded this Hadith in his book of Tawhid (Fath Al-Bari 13:360). Mulsim and An-Nasa’I alos recorded it ( Muslim 1:557, and An-Nasa’I in Al-Kubra 6:177 In his Book of Salah, Al-Bukhari recorded that Anas said, A Masjid of Quba’. Whenever he began a Surah in the recitation of the prayer that he wa
To all those who send out forwards about Islam without even making sure what they say is true or not, please, think before you do that. The Prophet (PBUH) once said, "It is enough for a Muslim to lie if he listens to something and passes it on without confirming it first".
I'm sooo hooked on this song right now... although i have no idea what these guyz are talkin about.. but still i'm on it.. it's called one love and it's by a group called Blue.. One love, for the mother's pride, one love for the times we cried, one love, gotta stay alive... one love is all we need...
Greetings blog fans (all 3 of u) ;-) Well to answer Umair's question, I'm from Pakistan. Thanx for the compliment bro. I was watching a movie called Spy Hard.... old Leslie Neilson movie if anyone's seen it... they're always a laff and this was no exception, especially where the undercover cop, to avoid drawing attention to himself puts on a Punjabi song!!! Its a riot.. if u ever get the chance, watch it!
i found this blog today Umair's Braindroppings and i came across this test the brother had on his blog. Its a what sort of Muslim are you thing. Try out the quiz... i scored 40 which means i'm a progressive Muslim. I'd probably wanna do better but then i'd be lying on the test. Take the test.
You never know when an extra language mite come in handy!!! :-) Was buying some doner kebabs today for da parents and bro.. and while i was there, was looking at a turkish newspaper (i'm okish at turkish...there's a rhyme) Anyways, the guy goes u know turkish... and yada yada yada.. in the conversation he forgot half my order... but at the end when he asked me for the money i reminded him of the rest of my order.. and he goes sorry.. got me the rest.. and it was on the house... see.. it does pay to know more than one language...

I dont know what this means but thas the result i got... try it out.. seems pretty cool.... hey... i'm a pattern now!!! What Pattern Are You?
I'll tell you, somethings are juss beyond me. Here's an example, there's a phrase used in urdu when u get to someplace and someone u know is always there. They'll most probably say something like, 'tum agaye!?' (you've come?!)... errmmmm... no i havent gotten there yet, this is my clone who got there faster cuz he found a good parking spot!!!! Whass the point of asking someone if they have come when they are standing there right in front of you?? (I tend to notice these things sometimes.. nooooo.. i'm not one of those whiners who go on and on about small habits of other people they dont like!)
'I beleive the sun should never set upon an argument... i beli....' Hold it a sec!!! What the heck is that supposed to mean?? I'm sorry, i may be a bit ignorant of the english language (this is the bit where i try to use a big word to impress people with my prowess in the language and manage to end up making spelling mistakes!) but i seriously have no idea what Darren Hayes (lead singer of the former band Savage Garden who incidentally i really really like... call me a girl!) meant by that sentence... I mean the song itself makes sooo much sense, as did most of their second album.. as compared to lines such as 'chicken cherry cola' or 'but somewhere in a private place she packs her bags for outerspace'...(hmm, seems like in Australia outerspace travel is already common place... they're miles ahead of the rest of us) either way.. tunes on both albums catchy so its all good.. If only i could understand what they're trying to say...
I dont have nothing to say!
Well, what can i say... hmmm.. well i can say i now know what a popsicle feels like... dang its cold.. 2 weeks straight i've been the first one to walk into my Cybernetics class monday mornings... and 2 weeks straight before anyone else gets in, the lecturer gets in.. (which then becomes odd cuz i'm sitting in class tryin to read the newspaper while i know he's staring down at me)... But atleast i'm hopefully giving him the impression I'm someone who pays attention to studies... MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.. is that a cow jumpin' over the moon???
Thanking you very much Pumpkin ji... I didnt notice that missing hyperlink... anyways, missed bad boys today...(the movie that is)... When i turned on the TV, Martin Lawrence was just handcuffing Will Smith and Sara Leoni (or whatever her name is) together and walking off to go spend some 'quality time' with his wife. BAD BOY BAD BOYS, whacha gonna do.. whacha gonna do when dey come fer uuu...
CLICK HERE!!! That was my solution on how to send tons of people cards on Eid. I got soo many cards and i was like.. oh darn.. how how how... so i came up with this idea and i'm glad to report no one yelled at me...which means it probably went down ok. Sometimes it works out to be a lazee bum..
Hey Hey... Eid Mubarak (Again.... i luv saying dat!!) Had Eid today... and was my bro's convocation.... (to the people out there who have no idea what i'm talkin about... ) that means graduation ceremony.. as one of my friends had to be explained to... was all good... met another friend who's getting married in 2 weeks... (no!! this time i know the bride and the groom ;) )... So its all good... apart from Mr Nigel Phillips' coursework... AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Strange isnt it, when you're talkin' to a good friend how even half an hour juss seems to fly past you. I was juss talkin' to a guy who i have regarded as my best friend for probably the past 10 years or so now, and it juss seems like half an hour went by (which was the time allocated on the phone card i was using) in a flash. Granted with all the sarcasm and dissin' that we both do, we'd probably need like three hours but thass pushin' it. Dang, still aint ironed my clothes for tomorrow's Eid prayer yet and it's exactly 1 in the nite... gotta go people... (incidentally, I'm gonna be wearing a white Shalwaar Kameez if you were wondering)

:) EID MUBARAK PEOPLE :) Thass that outta the way.... Insha'Allah you all gonna have good Eids, maybe drop in or send me some sweets too..
Here's another one from the Masjid's Imam, " In Ramazan most people are on a seafood diet.... they see food and they go for it." (Ok so u've heard it before, but its cool)

You are Kermit! Though you're technically the star, you're pretty mellow and don't mind letting others share the spotlight. You are also something of a dreamer. Take the What Muppet Are You? Quiz!
Funny how i put those lines from 'Swingin on a star' a coupla days ago. I put 'em up there cuz for some reason the movie Hudson Hawk came to mind and it has a sequence in the beginnin' where Bruce Willis goes to steal something from a muesum and is singin' that song. Amazingly (or weirdly) enuff, today i was watching the news and when commercials came on, I flicked a channel and Hudson Hawk was on and that exact sequence was starting. Is that the X-Files music i hear in the distance???
Iftar = Snickers bar + Latte with hazelnut syrup. Maybe not the most conventional Iftar but thass what was available so i had to make do with it. Not that i'm complainin' ofcourse. Skipped a class today, but had to, it was either Prolog or my sanity and although i am slowly going insane, i still picked my sanity (after all, i can always count on my wife-2-be to drive me nuts). If ur out there my future wife to be whoever you are, get in touch yo!!! Naaah.. in no rush as most people know, and say that its cuz i'm childish that i think like that. I am not childish... am not, am not, am not!!!
Having Patience ================ It is related by Abu Hurairah (R.A.) that: "(once) a person abused Abu Bakr (R.A.), and the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) was sitting (there), (at that time), and he felt amazed and was smiling (at the behaviour of both), (with the man abusing Abu Bakr (R.A.) continuously and the latter bearing it with patience). But when that person went on with it, Abu Bakr (R.A.), also, returned some of the invectives. The Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam), thereupon, left the place in some anger. Feeling greatly perturbed, Abu Bakr (R.A.) went after the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) to find out the reason of his annoyance and apologise. As Abu Bakr (R.A.) met the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) , he said: ' O Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)! How is that you remained sitting when the man was hurling abuses at me, without end, but when I too, said something, you got angry and departed from the place?' Th
Incidentally, before anyone gets the wrong ideas from my last post, the women the Imam was referring to as the ones who will make men go to Jahannum (Hell) are the women who arent pious and dont do good. This aint no shot on womankind in general and shouldnt be taken by anyone as one.
Today after Taraweeh, the Imam was giving a talk on Akhira and how we should all prepare for it. He mentioned things we can do to have a better life in Jannah (Paradise) and also things which we should avoid so we can avoid Jahannam (Hell). He touched on the topic of women and how women will be one of the main causes of men going to Jahannam. He was going on about how women make men do things even when they may be unlawful and how women tend to manipulate men. He then adressed the women in the mosque and said I am not saying this about you mothers and sisters. At this point one of the regulars in the Masjid goes, "darr gaye kya??" ("Are you scared now??") at which there was laughter all around including the Imam. And this goes on all the time, there is a very light hearted atmosphere in the Masjid and i'm sure its the same anywhere. So those of you who avoid Masjids cuz they think they're run by fanatics, go in and have a look, you mite find something totall
Or would you like to swing on a star Carry moonbeams home in a jar And be better off than you are Or would you rather be a fish?! (Delish)
