Sun goes down I really really need a holiday. Problem is I have soooooo much going on in the sillyness that is my life that I dont even get time to see friends over the weekend! Infact, the weekends are the busiest times cuz I'm always doing something or the other. Painting bathrooms, scrubbing the muck off kitchen walls and all other manner of DIYness. I suppose I could start up my business, would be the perfect launching pad for my bid to take over the world and then use the whole planet as a huge icecream maker (although I'm still not sure what I'd do with the hot deserts during the day, I'm sure I'll put 'em to good use!). Apart from that, I've been sleeping on the floor for about a week (ok I lie, not comepletely on the floor, its a matteress on the floor). It will still be a week or so before the niggly bits are sorted out and I get to sleep in a bed again. For the time being I'm tired to the bone cuz as usual I managed to persuade Si into another ...
Everything Ends May not have agreed with her politics (or anyone else's for that matter) but this just isnt the way to go. Granted when you play a dangerous game like politics (especially in Pakistan) you are setting yourself up for trouble... and when there are threats they should be taken seriously... if not for yourself, for your family... for those closest to you... All in all I feel sorry... for those who will feel the loss of a family member/friend... and most of all for the ones who lost their mother. May Allah forgive her sins, our sins and everyone else's sins and guide us to the right path.
One Headlight Why does EVERYTHING have to be so difficult??
Glorious Ramadan's rolled around again. Albeit this time, due to a number of reasons, I'm just not with it (although those who know me will claim I was never with it to begin with). Work is getting on my nerves now as well. Just feels like nothing's together at the moment. Need to sort myself out soon... Need to get some sleep to begin with... g'nite y'all!
Long way to the top 12:31am. Thinking of an excuse to not go to work tomorrow...
Hole Hearted Right, due to lack of vigor/force/liveliness/get-up-and-go (read i'm feeling lazy), this will not be a for-real post but a shout-out masquerading as a post. Abez: Errrmmm... the email's been lost in transit... still searching for it. In the meantime give the little one a cuddle from me Yasminay: See above.... kiddin.. naah i think your email was in the same truck as Abez's.. thats why they aint there yet! (Mental picture: a lonely email in a truck somewhere in a dark forrest slowly making its way towards its destination. The silence broken as the email fearfully turns around to the email next to it and goes "are we there yet?") Unaiza nasim: Errmm.. thank you very much.. nice blog u got going btw. Baji: 8 hours in October...could be the name of a book couldnt it... and the movie version would be called "8 hours in London trying to get Binje to come out and take me for a meal".. dont think the producers thought the name through properly... b...
Livin' on a prayer (and nandos) Been a somewhat expensive weekend for me. Friday I had the day off so I could go to the local Masjid for a change. Has been ages since I did that. Normally there's this place near work where they use a hall every Friday for Juma but I was like I need to go feel the community thing again. Plus I wanted to hopefully run into one of dad's friend's who's son recently passed away. Always sad when a parent buries their own children. Especially since the son has 2 young children of his own. I knew the guy... very nice friendly person. Unfortunate but thats the way Allah wills it, gotta believe that whatever happens, happens cuz he is the best of planners. Friday I also bumped in to a few guys who I rarely get to see. One cuz he's married, has kids and runs a business Masha'Allah... the other who recently got married so understandably is busy and the third who moved a bit further away so isnt always around. Turns out the two married d...
