We're Not Gonna Take It!

Hmmm... I've been a bit lazee bloggin' these past coupla days... been going ok.. yesterday was out and about.. helped a friend at uni in some work.. then went off to meet another friend for lunch.. nice little place down in Central London near his workplace. I always love going there... i dont even know wat the place is called.. (hey i juss go for the food, not to promote them) .. hmmm.. best friend didnt wish moi a happy birthday.. dont get me wrong.. i'm not bothered if i get wished or not... but from him i always expect atleast a card if nothing else.. but... nothing from him even... anyways.. life aint it??? On another note... i've changed the look of my blog... (betcha that came as a surprise.. u guys didnt know did ya!?) been messin around with bits and bobs... stil have to put up links... get stuff sorted... i know i know i keep sayin it.. but believe it or not it's been around 2 months since i decided i wanna change the look of my blog and it's juss n

Man the comments thingy is gone again.. Haloscan need to seriously sort their stuff out man... but I have faith in them.. i'm sure it'll be straightened out soon.... On another note, I received a box of choclates from someone who I helped out (wasnt expectin' it cuz I hardly knew the person) but nonetheless i got a box of choccies (which i never say no to) for me? nooo..u shouldnt have... oh ur too kind (and while i'm sayi'n all that i'm eyein' up the chocs and tryin to guess how many there are in the box and how long they'll last me).. ooh please i couldnt take these... but i dont want u to feel bad so i'll take 'em.. And then i told the person that they've given me the choclates a day before my birthday so they were happy too.. (and i'll be starting off with a box of choclates).. Hey.. i didnt c that.. it's after 12 which means my birthday's officially started... Happy Birthday me... :)

Hey blog fans... Just finished watchin' "bend it like Beckham".. Damn man it's a good movie... dont know if the movie made it outside the british isles but i have to tell u... if you guyz havent seen it... its about a ... naaaah.. i aint gonna tell u... all i'll say is, it's about an indian family living in England.. with a big twist... thass it.. no more.. all i'll say is its definitely worth a watch... The copy i watched had a few probs where it'd juss freeze up, which can be sooo ANNOYING when ur engrossed in a movie... after bad mouthing whoever ripped the movie or messed up the copy.. i wanted to rip his heart and .... umm.. sorry... but anyways...it's all good... Latest on my tagboard... nothing... havent touched it today... was too tired after work.. couldnt be bothered.. maybe i'll try tomorrow... i know, i know... i'm lazee.. sue me.. :)

ARGGGHHHH!!!! This is another fine mess u people got me into... kiddin...it's juss i ant get the damn tagboard to work right... Jazak'Allah to Arshe ji for her help... It's pretty much ok now but cuz the tag-board website was messin around couldnt check it properly... plus there still is that script error on line 139 which i have to look at again... (there has to be an easier way of doing this!!!) Oh.. and my email aint working either so cant get to my inbox... In other news today... (no this aint the news and no ur not allowed to sleep through it!!!) I got a call from a friend today who's takin me out to dinner on my birthday... ummm.. yeah i know it's a bit weird but it's cool.. here's the weird bit.. his birthday's 2 days before mine.. and he's comin' down from outside London so i'm not sure what to do... Hey people... I juss watched.. ummm... errrrr... and to think i'm gonna say this on the net... Ice Age... there goes my macho image... (not macho in the village people kinda sense) but yea... definitely worth a watch... the animation..top notch.. i mean it doesnt get really better than that... umm.. but then again...they did manage to clone people... and even make dummies into heads of countries *hint**hint*... anyways.. damn cute movie.. and definitely a welcome change from the regular crap u see in cinemas... then again i dont really like action and all that.. mostly comedies and stuff... but Ice Age definitely ROX!

Bad luck... or juss me??? Just my luck... last night I finally decided (with a little convincing from a helping hand) that i'd put up a tagboard on my site and the tagboard thingy goes down... Anything i touch goes haywire.. i start to blog my posts dont come up.. people start to comment, their comments disappear or the whole damn commentin' site goes down...and now the Tagboard site's gone.. I mean ok maybe i aint all that good but these guyz are makin' me out to look like a human friday the 13th....

Whacked is the word Yay.. some family friends came back from Hajj today... and they brought over the usual Haji gift pack (which i always luvvvv) which includes dates, a copy of the Holy Quran, a prayer mat and some ZamZam water... Me i juss go straight for the ZamZam. Besides since i got back from uni today I was helpi'n out mom in the kitchen. She'd roasted some almonds and i was juss cuttin' up dates, pullin' out the seeds and puttin in the almonds in the center... it's probably the most heavenly snack u can have on earth.. besides nihari that is... ;) On other notes... fell asleep in front of the TV, legs killin' me, wanna go bowling, still need to iron clothes for work, got reunited with a person who I think i last talked to something like 9-10 years ago... I've been recommended i put a tagboard on my page cuz the commentin thing on my site keeps messin' up.. considerin' that... but it's probably gonna involve readin up and then

Cricket Rambles Man.. i thought i'd never get in.. seems like there was some prob on the blogger page (or maybe my isp) and i couldnt get in... anyways... was watchin' the highlights of Pakistan's cricket match yesterday... as a rule i've never liked cricket.. watchin' or playin.. but cuz my niece and nephew were around (and my nephew is like a HUGE sports fan) i was sittin' watchin with them.. have to admit.. it wasnt too bad (thass cuz i was watchin' the highlights) but man Saeed Anwar's battin' really was impressive.. the guy is a class batsman i have to admit... and the shot Younis khan played where the bowler actually bowled something like 10 paces the wrong way.. Younis khan walks all the way after it and whacks it straight for a 4... funny.... Anyways.. got uni tomorrow.. not lookin' forward to it.. this semester seems like it's gonna really drag on... not particularly looki'n forward to it.. but heck.. it's all about Ed

Guess what people... I juss tasted Mecca Cola :) Its pretty nice.. a bit less potent than the regular coke (the drink for those of u who are wondering). It's sorta like somewhere in between coke and diet coke. Basically what happenned was my mom, dad and bro went to the peace march in central London and all... and like the place where they were all gatherin, they had a Mecca Cola stall there so my bro went ahead and got some. It's Masha'Allah very nice too, they didnt have any prices up, they juss said give whatever you please... May Allah give them Jaza for that.... I, unfortunately couldn't go cuz i was workin (the big bad breadwinner) but it turns out there were anything between 750,000 (official figure) to 2,000,000 (organizer's figure) people in the march.. and when u look at it on TV.. It was PACKED! But yeah comin' back to teh original subject..... I could really live with Mecca Cola.. It ROX. :)

Bouncin' on Eid Contrary to the idea some of u mite be gettin from the title, this is some good news i've juss received... One of my closest friends who i've known for like.. ummm forever... gave birth to a bouncin' baby boy juss 5 hours ago. Here's another thing, she's in Pakistan and this is like Eid there... so you can imagine how happy they must be over there.. and Masha'Allah the baby is very healthy and so is my friend. Very very cool stuff Masha'Allah. :-)

Eid Mubarak again people.. :) Well had a decent Eid, met all the people in the Masjid as usual, then went off to friends.. been a decent day. I was plannin' to call up a few friends here and there but i totally forgot to buy the damn phonecards... Callin' da US would still be cheap but if i call pakistan on the standad BT line i'd be payin through ma ears (not a pretty sight i can assure you) me kickin and screamin' all da way to the bank... anyways... think we've got some Baklava left in the fridge (for those of you who havent tried it, it's a Labenese/Turkish sweet thingy) Think i'll go destroy some of that.. :)

Woe is me... n my shoulder Been busy the whole day and now when i'm dead tired i cant sleep.. why cuz i've got this weird pain in my shoulder now.. and like it's such a sharp pain i was in bed for like around an hour and couldnt go to sleep... this is gettin awfully weird now.. (guess i am gettin' old... ho hum.. it was good while it lasted) Now before i forget EID MUBARAK Hope you all have a lovely Eid Insha'Allah, get lots of presents, eat loads, be happy and enjoy it.... i'm off to play counter strike.. laterz

Fasting again Think it's around 2 hours or so to sehri now.. and i'm still awake.. then again i'm always awake till weird hours... as long as i get up fer Fajr it's all cool. Hmm... got sooooooooooo much stuff to do tomorrow.. (and being me i never prioritize) Mom's still on my case to go get some new clothes for Eid... I dont know, I juss dont find that EID atmosphere here... Insha'Allah i'll b out and about tomorrow gettin' bits n bobs done and if i get time in the end i'll Insha'Allah buy some clothes which i wanna give as gifts, and if my card aint max'd out.. then i'll get somethin' for myself... (which means i probably wont have anything left for myself). But i have to say Fasts here are sooo short u dont even notive Alhamdulillah.. and then u can go out and do a ton of stuff and still run the hundred meter sprint at the end too... I feel like popeye now.. a smallfry yet strong.. :-)

I was watchin' a program on Hajj today on Channel 4 (for those of u who live in england) and well while watchin' the show when they were showin' Makkah and especially the areas around the Haram Shareef... I was juss takin' a trip down the proverbial memory lane... some of the places i remember so clearly... Watchin' it u feel like ur actually there.. and seeing places where u been like soo many times u've lost count.. it's juss... i dont know... *sniff**sniff* now some of u may understand why i babble on about why i wanna go back to Saudi Arabia.. it's juss life is soooo much easier... Makkah Muazama and Madinah Munawara u can get to in no time... all the food's halal... yummm and big ol' american gas guzzlers... oh yes indeedy those big gas guzzlers... oh life was so much better in Saudi Arabia. :)

Cute kids There's like 7 or 8 kids from around juss barely 5 years old to like 10 years old who come to my mom everyday to learn to recite the Qur'an. The 2 youngest ones, both have speech impediments Masha'Allah. They both have speech therapy at their skools too. I pray that their condition gets better soon Insha'Allah.... Mom teaches the kids in the dining room and i was in the next room today sorta listennin' in... one of the youngest 2 was reading... he's juss at the basics right now so he's juss learnin' to piece together the words and when he sees a new word he'll repeat it a couple of times... now first I heard my mom say the word which was 'Duriba' or something close to it.. didnt quite catch it.. then the little one goes... ARGH! Me hotmail's not working... dang i hate it when that happens... and i was sooooooooo lookin' forward to reading ma spam!! I've thought about it over and over to get a new email address or maybe start using the one i have from my ISP but i juss cant bring myself to let go of this address. I mean i've had it for about 6 years now, and like people who i lost touch with have ended up sending me emails like years after cuz they still had that address of mine. So it's all good..i've actually been asked twice by people if i'd give up this account to them.. dont know why.. but i havent.. :-) it's mine i tell ya.. mine mine mine!

There are things which like the whole general public likes.. then there's stuff no one likes cuz its different... does liking the different thing make someone weird... cuz if it does then nope.. I dont like Najam Shiraz's Sona Chahta hoon... :) kiddin.. nah was juss watchin' Prime TV and the video came up. (First time i saw it too).. He actually had like a message in the video and all. Good song... but thing is.. i've never met a single person who's been able to say they like that song, I mean granted its not stuff every pakistani singer does everyday but still, doesnt a bitta diversity help??
