To snot or not to snot!

Ok now i realize some of u will already be grossed out by the title.. although i wouldnt expect u to.. snot is a normal human errr.. snot... so there.. Anyways, Yes i do have a cold and a sore throat and a mild fever.. which is why i'm sitting here in blogistan getting bored cuz i cant go out (its finally starting to get cold again) cant have icecream... (but mom it's good for me.. *SLAP*) and cant even smell the food i'm eating!

Oh well, gives me a good excuse to do some serious lazing around.. found an old book somewhere.. decided might as well read that as i havent read a book in ages... went halfway through then turned on the tuuube... and what do i see?? the video for 'staying alive'. You know, the hit Beegee's song... (i never knew it only went to no.4 in the UK.. strange).. And now I sit here thanking Allah i wasnt born in the 70s... THOSE PANTS (or trousers as pure brits would say).. ARGH.. scary.. tight... weird shaped... those hairdos! nooooooooooooooooooo... Even when i did have long hair... (first time my dad saw me he didnt recognise me with long hair cuz i'd been away to cyprus!) it wasnt like that.. ewwww... I say the 70s should be banned! Kiddin... but my point is.. i may make fun of them.. but the kids of today even make fun of people like me cuz we're not hip to the coolest trends no more! I think it's something that'll go on till the end of eternity and people like me wil never truly be able to fit in with them brats... (yeah so my niece made fun of me!)

Shoot to thrill So I just finished watching Inception (yes I know I am only a year or so behind the times). I took the plunge today with a full understanding (or so I thought) of the concept of the movie and what to expect. Oh Em Geeee... was I in for a shock and such an excellent one at that. A brilliantly executed idea and thankfully, for once, an original one. I have to say I cant remember the last time I watched a movie which wasnt a sequel, prequel, reboot or connected to some other movie idea/concept in some way, shape, form or aspect. Yes it can be argued it goes into the augmented reality side of things which has been used many times before but this is a very refreshing take on the genre. I like how the movie asked or answered questions that were popping into my head as I watched the movie (yes even though I do prefer the no brainer movies, but I do like to keep an inquisitive mind). So one thing I havent mentioned on here (primarily as before this latest stint, I have blogged only twice in the 5 and a bit years I have taken it up)is my interest/love/hate of motorbikes. I say hate (strong word) but its not necessarily that... It is just a case of not having sympathy when the things go wrong (and boy some have had their share... not naming names Honda CBF125...oops). So yes when I realised I was spending a month and a bit's salary a year on train tickets where the trains were horrendously bad in service (not naming any names First Great Western now known as Great Western Railway... Last Juma of Ramazan, man the Masjid was packed. This cute little kid was standing next to me, immitating his dad at Namaz (works for me if the kid's learning). Turkish bakers sure know their stuff. Olive bread (if u havent heard of it, try it, u'll b amazed) and Potato pasties. I juss love taking stuff home fer iftar, getting blasted by mom for doing so, then looking at the say it tastes good. :)
