Anything but that!!!

I was flicking through channels in the evening today bored outta my head. And during this, one of my many travels of the flicking-kind, I came upon a channel which was showing Faiza's favourite movie!! (hehehe... sorry Faiza). Yeap, none other than the Titanic. Thanfully it was the last 10 min so i decided, for the heck of it, that i'd watch. It was the scene where the girl is floating on that piece of wood and Leo-di-mega-crappio is in the water talking to her. Now the water's freezing, so they're both shivering from the cold, have ice frozen on their hair. I wonder if their hair was fronzen, does that mean the snot in their noses was frozen too... cuz if it was... then in theory that would mean their noses were blocked which would increase the chances of both of them kicking the bucket anyway... Plus the steam coming from their mouths seemed more like cigarette smoke.. (i'd know) ... Now how can cigarette smoke be coming from two professional actors shooting a scene in a closed controlled environment? Well for those of you who have been wondering all this time (you guys must be SAD!) here's the answer. The director had little trained rodents sitting in the bellies of the actors puffing away at cheap old third-class desi cigarettes to keep the effect going.

Anyways... (que sentimental mushy wushy music) and Jack is telling Rose not to say goodbye and all.. "R-r-r-r-r-rose... You ca ca cant say goodbye... no goodbyes... p-p-p-promise meeee you'll survive..." Dyslexic idiot! Oh fer flip's sake man... that's the most selfish thing a person can ever do... ur supposedly in the middle of nowhere between hundreds of dead bodies floating on a piece of wood freezing ur snot out and about to croak... yet you want the poor girl to promise not to die... what pish tosh... I say that's extremely selfish on the part of Mr. Crapio and he should be shot in the head for it... TWICE! (or more times if it so pleases the audience)

Oh well... I do actually remember when i was vice-prez of the Cinema club back in cyprus... (dont ask!) We used to put on movies once a week in uni on Friday evenings i think... And the day we put Titanic.. the whole hall was packed... in fact it was sooo packed that people sat on the floor to watch it... (cheapos couldnt go to the cinema and pay to watch could thay!!!) Come to think of it, thats why I joined the cinema club... Naaa... Actually i was thrust into the position by a friend who for some reason thought i was responsible enough to do this and so on so forth... oh i'm going off topic here.. anyways.. Yeah so the day we put on Titanic... the whole hall was packed.. now the great thing about the hall was the exits were in the front and away from the glare of the screen. So if you were at the doorway looking in, no one could see you, but you could see everyone... which was fun cuz i think we saw something like 30-40 women crying during the movie... (and i kid you not) a guy put a tissue to his eye during the movie as well.... Oh boo senitmental hoo!

There is one awesome bit about that movie which i have to admit... (and in romeo and juliet as well.. the new version for anyone who's seen it) The image of Lio sinking away into the depths of the ocean was soo touching I could probably watch it a million times and still have a smirk on me face... Gawd i'm being mean today... i'll leave!
