hmmmm.. another one of my observations of people... (ok ok so its a bit lame, sue me!!) Whenever someone gets sick, or bangs a knee or break an arm and you go, you should get that checked.. they'll go.. oh i dont like doctors... ummm... .

me: 'so u've got a headache.. take an asprin'..
them "nopes.. dont like medicine..."

another scenario

me: 'have this tablet and it'll stop the fever u have'..
them: 'i dont like tablets or capsules'

What i dont get is.. someone's not feeling good.. and juss cuz some medicine gonna taste icki for the first 2 min they wont take it... instead they'll suffer the sore throat, runny nose and fever for the next week or so... (and complain all through the week obviously).. no one trusts a doctor when they have a cough.. but when someone has an accident and may be dying.. the first thing people do is say call the doctor... so umm.. it's logical to not trust a doc when someone has a cough... but perfectly fine when someone's dying.. go figure... (i think i have too much time to think!!!) actually no i dont.. have an exam on monday but cant be bothered to study right now so my mind is juss messin around!!

Shoot to thrill So I just finished watching Inception (yes I know I am only a year or so behind the times). I took the plunge today with a full understanding (or so I thought) of the concept of the movie and what to expect. Oh Em Geeee... was I in for a shock and such an excellent one at that. A brilliantly executed idea and thankfully, for once, an original one. Friends As much as the title may sound like it relates to the TV series of the same name, this post has nothing to do with the over-the-hill-trying-to-be-funny-while-making-twats-of-themselves sitcom. Its about friends, the real ones. Now, I have to be honest here (not that I'm usually not honest) but I've been a bit of a skeptic of the friends-for-life cliche. Admittedly there are cases where it has happenned but its not as common as people might think it. I have a handful of friends who I know have made an impact on my life but dont think I'll always be in contact with. Nothing new there, its all part of life. Paint it black Self pity in the world of make believe (or TV to you and me) is such an awesome tool for one to attain one's goals. There is always a character who is in the depths of despair and yet one simple act (usually by the antagonist in most cases) turns out to be the pivotal point where said character shrugs off the shackles of the self imposed desolation to go on and achieve the impossible (in the case of Indian movies, often defying the laws of physics on the way to overcoming said impossibility). Side note, I am only saying that based on the stereotypical views I have of Indian movies. In the real world however, self imposed despondency is much tougher to shake off.
